So I totally couldn't bring myself to blog every day.
Between going to the doctors. Baby shower. Completing everything for little man's arrival. I have been one hell of an exhausted girl lately. Picking up my computer and typing something logical and legible...wasn't happening.
So I will combine the last few days of being thankful into one.
I am so very thankful for the ability for Mike and myself to be stay at home parents if we choose. Both at the same time. Forever. Although I am going back to school to finish up in the spring, right now, I can relax and watch my children grow.
Not sure if I have shared this, but our reasons for this are simple. Mike receives 100% disability from the VA for his time served in the military. I get paid as well by the VA as his caregiver. (If there are any spouses-married or not- who take care of their spouses with any percent disability through the VA, and you don't get compensated for it- no matter how miniscule the "care" part is, please please please contact me and I can give you all kinds of good info on this).
Although Mike suffered irreversible injuries, we are very fortunate to not be homeless like so many veterans who don't have the same resources as us.
So for the VA, I am so very thankful for the resources they provide so that we may live in comfort.
